Predicting the Missing Value in Number Pairs

In this exercise, we analyze a series of seven pairs of numbers to determine the value that should replace Y in the 8th pair (27, Y). The first seven pairs are (111, 34), (96, 29), (87, 26), (72, 21), (69, 20), (51, 14), and (48, 13). We will graph the results, connect the points with a line, and label all eight points. This problem allows for exploration of patterns and relationships in data, encouraging critical thinking and visual representation of numerical relationships.
