  2. Industry Problem • Currently 65,000 people a year die due to taking the wrong medication or the wrong dosage. • Pharmaceuticals is the most profitable industry in the world. Higher historical returns than any other market. • Gigantic Opportunity to reduce deaths and medical liability.

  3. Project Description: Stronglife.com • A personal database that a patient uses to keep track of past and current medications. • Compares new medications with old to determine any potential negative interactions. • Monitors length of drug use to advise patient of any long term negative effects. • Explains the drug function and provides alternatives.

  4. Project Attributes • Relational database • Web based • Different views for different users • Very secure (privacy is critical) • Easy to use: Intuitive • Standards based, so it can maximize the amount of legacy clinical information systems it can share data with.
