  1. LEAPS Lothians Equal Access Programme for Schools Deans is a LEAPS school. You can apply through LEAPS to study at university if you meet the following criteria: You are an S6 student who will attain a minimum of 3 Highers by the end of S6 You would be the first generation in your family to apply to higher education or whose parents do not already have a degree. This includes students whose parents may have briefly participated in higher education but did not achieve a degree. You are a student from a low income background (for instance, where a student is entitled to EMA, free meals in school, or where the family is on income support) You are a student who has spent time in care or being looked after You are a student who is a young carer

If you are eligible – what you need to do • You need to apply by completing an online application form • www.leapssurvey.org • This will take about 30 minutes • This needs to completed as soon as possible and can be accessed via computer, blackberry, etc. • You need to complete this in one go. • We need you to complete this by Tuesday to enable us to allocate interview times.
