Project Goals • To make a research of a city monuments of different types; • To realize the importance/ significance of monuments by giving answers to the questions: 1) Are there any archaeological, architectural, historic, material, military-engineering, hydro-engineering, transport, ethnographic, documentary monuments, monuments of art and of urban development in your city/town?2) Are there any famous people connected with places of your town?3) Which monuments in your city/ town are the oldest, most important, the most beautiful, the most unusual?4) Do you ever hold events at Monuments?5) What are the latest places of interest/monuments appeared in your city/town?6) If you had a chance, the monument to whom/to what would you erect?

  4. We all have memories. We also share inwider collective memories of our shared history. In shaping and giving focus to thesecollective memories, monuments play a prominent part. They bring history alive to new generations and memories tothose who experience them firsthand. Monumentscreate a bridge between generations. Monumentsare reminders sometimes of what we did wrong. Monuments enrich the spiritual life of society, awaken the best human feelings, contribute to the formation of patriotic feelings.

  6. Works of Ancient Architecture are real treasures. Mazarachi Church is one of the oldest in Chisinau. It is an architectural masterpiece in stone, the construction of which dates back to 1752. The Church of the Assumption is the oldest Moldovan wooden church founded in 1642
