Why Don’t We Give Jesus Full Control? • “I’m still not convinced it’s all true.” • The disciples’ deaths tell us how much • they believed Jesus is Lord. • Andrew: death by crucifixion • Bartholomew: death by crucifixion • James, the brother of Jesus: death by stoning • James, the son of Alphaeus: death by crucifixion • John: banished to an island, perhaps sentenced to hard labor, he may have died a natural death • Matthew: death by sword • Peter: death by crucifixion (upside down) • Philip: death by crucifixion • Simon: death by crucifixion • Thaddaeus: death by arrows • Thomas: death by a spear
