Het is vooral bekend vanwege het vrouwenklooster dat er in 1400 werd gesticht. Het klooster bestaat niet meer maar het dorp ademt nog wel steeds de sfeer van toen. Tijdens je vakantie op de camping in de regio Diepenveen is het zeker de moeite waard om het dorp te bezoeken. In mei vindt in de buurt van de camping nabij Diepenveen een concours hippique plaats voor dressuur- en springruiters.<br>
