  2. TRAID’s Charitable Objectives • To protect the environment through the recycling of clothes • To educate the public on issues of poverty and the environment • To relieve poverty anywhere in the world

  3. 72 full time paid staff • 15 site finders • 1,550 textile recycling banks in the UK • Textile collection logistics • Warehouse handling 210 tons of clothing a month • 10 shops open 7 days per week • 10,000 garments on sale to the public weekly • An education department • TRAIDremade workshop • Funding international development projects

  4. Three areas of competition:- • Organisations that operate textile recycling banks • Anyone wanting second-hand clothing for resale • Retailers that want shop sites with high footfall in prime locations

  5. Achievements to date are:- • Raising over £30 million pounds for our charitable objectives • Diverting over 35,000 tonnes of textiles from the waste stream saving 490,000 tonnes of CO2e • Education outreach of over 100,000 children, young people and adults since 2005 • Funding 34 international development projects positively impacting on over 700,000 people living in some of the world’s poorest communities
