  1. Think Dots • Les animaux de ferme • Elena Dardar

  2. Create a story about an animal that lost its tail. He goes from animal to animal, put the wrong tail on. At the end of the story, the animal finds its family and its tail. Use KidPix, create a slide show and record your voice telling the story.

  3. Create a slide show. The same slide on each page represents a table (fences) with clues: what animal has 2 feet? What animal lays eggs? The rest of the class answers the clues. At the end, the animals are all fenced in. Use PowerPoint.

  4. Use your book on the farm animals and create crumbled sentences. Ex: le chienestdans la maison Create the cards using Microsoft Word and then print a handout for the other students.

  5. Listen to the song :”Comment font les petitscochons” and find a new end to the song using different animals. Use an MP3 recorder.

  6. Create a concept map including transportation, farm animals and food. Classify living/non living, animal/vegetal. Use the web site: www.popplet.com

  7. Imagine that you are an animal and that you leave in a farm. Talk about where you live, what you eat, what you look like, what product you give etc. Use http://blabberize.com/

  8. Create a game : separate the syllables of each word and ask the rest of the class to put the right syllables together to make a word Use Microsoft Word. Ex:

  9. Design a farm and draw it using KidPix. Where are the animals? Create a slide show. Examples: • Le canard estdansl’étang (the duck is in the pond) • La vacheestdansl’étable (the cow is in the barn) etc.

  10. Interview people in the school asking them what farm animal they like and if they know the sound they make in French. Use a Mp3 recorder.

  11. Film yourself holding a picture of an animal and making the animals’ sounds in French: cocorico for the rooster, hiiiii for the horse, meuh for the cow etc. Compare with other languages in the world. Use a Flip Camera and Movie Maker

  12. Create a two entry table of things living/non living and animal/vegetal. Use Microsoft Excel.

  13. Go outside and take pictures of different things: living/non living. Use a camera and then print the pictures. Ask the rest of the class to put back into the right category.

  14. Create flashcards about the animals of the farm Print handouts for the other students and ask them to match the name and the picture. Use Microsoft Word.

  15. Interview people your classroom asking them what farm animal they like. Use a Flip camera and Movie Maker.

  16. Imagine you are an animal, record yourself saying what animal you are. You must pick several animals, record yourself for each one. Use a Mp3 recorder.

  17. Give an example of animal with horns • Give an example of animals with fur • Give an example of an animal with feathers Use KidPix to draw a picture of each animal.

  18. Create a one entry table of things living and non living. Use Microsoft Excel
