  2. The HOSA Mission • WSU HOSA is a sub-sect chapter of National HOSA. The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality healthcare by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students. • Therefore, we help students meet the needs of the healthcare community as we aim to develop leadership and technical skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition. We also focus on interacting with the community by hosting health events and volunteering opportunities!

Membership Fees • For HOSA members $20 (must have been in the club for one year) • After October 15th, the price of membership increases to $25 and $30 respectively. • Our membership graduation rope/ stole as well as the ability to participate in exciting events and receive beneficial opportunities such as the ability to participate in conferences. • Ropes and Stoles will be awarded based on membership points and membership status.

HOSA Point System • Points matter! • General Body Meeting 5 points • Events 20 points • Bake Sales • Bringing in goods 15 points • Bake sale shift (at least 30 mins) 10 points • Carpool during events 10 points • Tag us in pictures during events or bake sales (max 5)5 points • Bring in a non-registered friend to join HOSA 5 points • Follow us on our social media platforms 10 points

  6. What’s the POINT? • The point system allows us to gauge for dedicated members who will then have the opportunity to participate in events that have a limited number of spots. Ex: Shadowing opportunities, Dinners with a health professional etc.

  8. Bake Sales • October 2nd 9:00 am to 5:00 pm @ State Hall • November 1st 9:00 am to 5:00 pm @ State Hall • December 3th 9:00 am to 5:00 pm @ State Hall Come and show your support and indulge in yummy treats!
