  1. NAAQS OUTREACH & OTHER TOOLS

  2. NAAQS Outreach • Purpose: To maximize outreach efforts in Region 4 by leveraging each others presentations, brochures & experiences. • EPA’s Role: Share information & provide support for technical assistance & outreach. • Metro 4-SESARM Role: Support for clearinghouse & possibly other communications tools that can be used by Region 4 state & locals to share information.

  3. Does your Agency feel that there are adequate communication tools on NAAQS outreach available & accessible? • Would a clearinghouse for NAAQS outreach materials be useful to your Agency? Why or why not? Think near-term & long-term. • What other communication tools would be useful to your agency for NAAQS outreach?

  4. Control Measures Tracking System • Purpose: To track measures in areas classified as attainment but are violating a standard for which nonattainment designations have been made. • Working with States in voluntary way to achieve standard. • Other options are SIP call or nonattainment designation. • EPA maintains this system & envisions continued maintenance of this system.

  5. Do we want to consider expanding this effort for voluntary tracking of control measures & activities in other areas & for all NAAQS? • Would your Agency find it useful to have access to this system to see what other areas are doing? • If reporting were simplified, would your Agency be able to support reporting your activities & in cases where feasible, provide quantification for estimated emission reductions?
