Do you know God ?. Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him], for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and [that] He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”. Acts 17:24-25.

  1. Do you know God? Hebrews 11:6,“But without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him], for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and [that] He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

  2. Acts 17:24-25 "God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.”

  3. Acts 17:26-29 "Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising.”

  4. Acts 17:30-31 If you know God, then you know that He will bring us into Judgment on the last day! The God of the Bible expects us to understand the concepts of Responsibility, Accountability, & Punishment. Look at Acts 24:25

  5. Acts 24:25 “Now as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and answered, "Go away for now; when I have a convenient time I will call for you."

  6. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things [done] in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:9-11

  7. “Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;” 2 Corinthians 5:11

  8. “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” Galatians 6:7-8

  9. Genesis 3:1-5 • Because God created man with a living soul, He gave mankind a freewill. • We know this because man has had a choice to do right or to do wrong from the beginning of time. • The devil has always misrepresented God to men! John 8:44

  10. John 8:44 The devil! “He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own [resources], for he is a liar and the father of it.”

  11. God has been Misrepresented! • The devil has continued through the ages to promote false concepts of God in his attempt to steal the souls of men! • John 3:16 ; James 1:16-18 • 1 Timothy 2: 3-4 (All to be Saved) • 2 Peter 3:9 (None to Perish)

  12. Physical Israel vs Spiritual Israel • Hosea 13:4, "Yet I [am] the LORD your God Ever since the land of Egypt, And you shall know no God but Me; For [there is] no savior besides Me.” • “Never again shall they say ‘Know the LORD,' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.”Jeremiah 31:31-34;

  13. Christians are the Spiritual Israel of God today! Hebrews 8:8-13, “In that He says, "A new [covenant]," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.”

  14. People speak of Joshua 24:15 • “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." • Joshua 24:16-18, “We also will serve the LORD, for He [is] our God."

  15. Joshua warned against serving God! • Joshua warned the children of Israel before his death, “you cannot serve the Lord” Joshua 24:19-20 • What a stark contrast to what people are being told about God today, “God loves you and wants to serve you!”

  16. Misrepresentation of God continues: People are told that God’s Love is Tolerant & Unconditional, BUT.. Read Hebrews 12:5-8

  17. Hebrews 12:5-8 “But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.”

  18. Do Christians know God today? • Joshua 24:22, 23-27, yet verse 31 tells us a story we should heed, because in Judges 2:7-10, • “When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel.”

  19. Do your children know God? There actually arose a generation that didn’t know war! Judges 3:1-2 Is this what has happened to the church today? Soldiers of Christ?

  20. Titus 1:15-16 “To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny [Him], being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.”
