  10. OPENING CEREMONY • President:(Gives the rap of the gavel signaling officers and members stand) • We are the Minnesota Family, Career and CommunityLeaders of America. Our objective is to help individual growth, improve personal, family and community living. • Officers: Our objectives focus on individual growth, preparation for family life, careers, leadership and action toward better world. • Members: As we work toward the accomplishment of our goals, we develop leadership qualities, learn cooperation, take responsibility, and give service. • President: The ________ Chapter of Minnesota FCCLA is now in session.   12. Roll Call of Chapters • Send a representative forward with the food items you would like to donate. This is a friendly competition between Minnesota FCCLA Areas, in a challenge determined by the State FCCLA Officers……… • A cereal box is worth 3 points • A jar of peanut butter is worth 2 points • A box of macaroni and cheese is worth 1 point. LEAD2FEED, National FCCLA Outreach Project • January- chapter service efforts support local food shelves with over 16 million children in American who face hunger each day. • As part of our MN FCCLA service efforts, MN FCCLA encourages your chapters to do service projects for financial literacy and food insecurity.   14. GLOBAL YOUTH SERVICE DAY 2019 • MN FCCLA Chapters – we challenge you to do service projects in April 19-21 for GYSDAY. • Register your service projects on YSA website! • MN FCCLA is a Lead State Agency for GYSDAY! PRESENTED BY Minnesota FCCLA ASSOCIATION

  15. 7 UP CHALLENGE! TWO WAYS: 1) INCREASE BY 7 OR MAINTAIN YOUR MEMBERSHIP from last years’ membership. 2) Have 33.3% or more of your student body in FCCLA. Apply to be a 7 Up chapter by March 1st. 7 Up Party at State Conference for invited chapters. PRESENTED BY Minnesota FCCLA ASSOCIATION

  16. SHADOW DAY 2019 FCCLA Members will be active at the state Capitol in MN FCCLA Shadow Day February 11. Applications were due in December and members will be assigned to shadow a legislator. PRESENTED BY Minnesota FCCLA ASSOCIATION

  17. Exciting FCCLA events coming! • MARCH-State Conference 2019- March 28-30, 2019 • Doubletree Hotel • APRIL-Leadership training for state officers- 1st weekend in April • JUNE-Leadership Camp- Bethel College in June. • JUNE/JULY- Natl FCCLA in Anaheim. PRESENTED BY Minnesota FCCLA ASSOCIATION
