  1. Why Europe? History trip to Berlin 2013 On Thursday 28th November a Group of Mount and Millthorpe students flew to Berlin to take part in the second stage of our cultural exchange with the Phillip Melanchton Gymnasium. The School is situated just east of Berlin in the small town of Grünheide. The theme of this visit was "Why Europe?"

  2. XXX is pictured here in the Archive with old letters and documents that have been confiscated from East German citizens until the collapse of the wall in 1989.

  3. The Archive is now open to all former citizens of the GDR to check what information was collected about them. This picture shows the huge amount of information collated by Stasi informants over the years. This Archive contains a staggering 15,000 bags of shredded documents — estimated at 33 million pages!
