M I N I M A L I S M1960’s • Art that uses a minimum of art elements. • Emphasis is on color or shape as the dominant element, in painting • Emphasis on crisp, precise edges of shapes. • No attempt is made to symbolize or represent anything at all but the pure design element. • Influenced music, many facets of design - fashion, architecture, interior design, etc.
