  1. Judge Jan Jurden Judge Jan Jurden Wilmington, DE Superior Court Judge Jan Judren was the first female President of Superior Court. Susan Del Pesco, the state's first female Superior Court judge, administered the oath or Judren in the New Castle County Courthouse. Judge Jan Judren replaced Justice James Vaughn Jr. President Judge As President Judge, Jan Jurden oversees the 21 judges in three counties and works on setting policies and rules. She will still preside over civil and criminal trials. Smart Decisions Judge Jan Jurden is well known for taking the time to make smart decisions.
