  1. Linear Perspective Assignments • 1. Draw the outside of the school, looking towards the west. • 2. Draw the hallway of our school. • 3. Pick and draw from one photograph of a New York City building.

  2. Outside drawing of Truckee High School • This is a class activity. If you are on an Independent Study you will have to find the time to do this either before or after your trip. • Start with the double point perspective formula as we did in class in our introduction to linear perspective. The following slide gives some hints to begin.

  10. Drawing THS Hallway • Begin with a simple single point perspective drawing of a room as we did in our introduction lesson by starting with a square and the vanishing point in the middle.

Drawing a New York SceneExamples Pick one of the photographs from either the teacher’s collection or if you are on Independent Study down load one from the examples found on the Power Point Presentation “Linear Perspective of New York City” Pick something that you might be interested in adding to your Fantasy Drawing. Your drawing will be easier if you keep it the same size of image that you are copying from.
