  4. What is Medebra? Support garment ideal for surgeries such as: Biopsy, Fine Needle Aspiration Lumpectomy, Mastectomy Breast Reduction, Breast Lift, Augmentation Reconstruction Dialysis (patients with chest catheter) Chemotherapy for chest port Lymphedema Chest Surgery (General Thoracic)

  5. Detachable Pouches • Medebra has two easily detachable pouches on the bottom to hold the drainage bulbs. These drain pouches significantly cut back on infections. • After the drains are removed, the pouches can be detached by the patient and used as another set of prosthesis.  • The drain pouches are sewn to be the same size as the soft fiber fillers adjustable prosthesis.

  6. Detachable Pouches • The empty pouch can then be filled with soft fiber stuffing. It is designed with a small piece of Velcro for closure, keeping the stuffing in place • The padding pouch also aides in pain control by placing the pad at the site of the discomfort. • Medebra pouches are taking the safety pins out of the Operating Room and beyond, which can be a safety hazard for the patients and clinicians. • The pouch design also aids in giving a patient a sense of security.

  7. Features and Benefits • Medebra can be used throughout treatment. The straps are designed for Chemotherapy. They provide padding over the port area (also protecting from seat belts, bag straps, etc). • The Medebra’s strap design provides easy access for both patient and clinician while providing dignity. The strap is secured by the Velcro lift up strap and front closure. Wider straps provide comfort for women with larger breasts. • Medebra's front closure aids those patients that have lost their dexterity in their hand and arms. Allowing the patients to dress themselves. Rotator cuff surgery patients are also benefiting. The strap can be adjusted to add length for the women who have had ribs removed. The bra will not come down beneath the concave chest.

  8. Features and Benefits (cont’d) • Medebra body designed for both Women and Medebra has a man's vest front Velcro closure opening opposite as men’s standard shirts. Medebra logo is not in pink for our men - further dignity for all.

  9. Features and Benefits (cont’d) The body design is longer than others to come below the sutures. Medebra's body design comes above the area where lymph nodes are removed. Not to dig into, yet providing support to help flush fluids.  Medebra's soft cotton 97%, 3% lycra (NO Latex) has been chosen to give the exact amount of support needed after all breast surgeries with or without drain to flush from the trauma of surgery. Medebra is used from day of biopsy to accommodate ice packs. The sewn-in pouches are designed with soft fiber filled adjustable prosthesis (if desired, any other brand can be used after healing).

  10. Features and Benefits (cont’d) • The Medebra's Prosthesis are also used for pain management. Medebra's adjustable prosthesis are used during reconstruction with expanders. The Medebra prosthesis is simply placed on the side to fill in, which eliminates the pointed unnatural cone look.  • Medebra's adjustable prostheses aid those who are left with asymmetrical breast from a lumpectomy. The adjustable feature allows women to fill the prosthesis to their desired size. • These prosthesis are proving a secondary healing effect. As little girls having breast is how we identify ourselves as women.

  11. Features and Benefits (cont’d) Medebra is excellent for lymphedema; the detachable pouches can be used for the excess of fluids. Cuts back significantly on drain infections and re-admission.
