Document Description Risk Assessment (RA) Risk Assessments (RA) highlight generic hazards (i.e. things with the potential to cause harm) and control measures (i.e. ways of reducing the likelihood of the hazard causing harm). These documents are designed to cover specific incidents associated with national incident types. A RA is one of the documents used to develop operational guidance. As part of the Model Implementation Process, fire and rescue services should validate the associated risk assessment for their own use. The method of achieving this will be part of individual service arrangements.
