  2. Playing games in Japan • Some of Japan’s games are baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball, gymnastics, volleyball, golf, judo, kendo, and sumo wrestling.

  3. Brainiest subjects • Their subjects are music, art, math, reading, social studies, and Japanese language.

  4. Cool grades • They have grades from first to ninth. • They take exams to enter high schools and continue on to college. • Preschoolers may attend cram school.

  5. Awesome holidays • Some awesome holidays are festivals, parades, colorful kites, special costumes, dancing ,and fun, but New Years is the biggest and brightest event.

  6. Japans language • Japan’s language is Japanese. • Hello is kinnchi-wa • Good bye is Sayounara • Please is Onegaishimasu • Thank you is domo-arigato • Yes is hai • NO is iie

  7. Ways to get to school • WALK to school, DON'T take buses, parents don’t take or pick-up their kids. Usually kids walk as a group. Little children wear the same equipment so people see where they are. Older children go with parents on crowded buses or trains.

  8. Chores • The children have teams. The teams clean the schoolyard,classroom,and halls. The teams also help serve lunch.

  9. Uniforms • They have STRICT rules. They have to follow the rules.

  10. Food • They eat rice, onigiri(rice balls wrapped in seeweed), takoyaki(octopous,onion,fish flakes, and seaweed. • Sushi (rice,or fish raw or cooked), noodles (ramen and others), tofu (bean curd), and they drink alot of tea with their meals.

  11. Others • Children go to school in April till March. • They have breaks for the seasons. • Children still have homework.

  16. Rules • You have to comb your hair. • You have to tie your hair back (in a ponytail). • You can’t wear earrings. • You can’t wear sandals. • Clean classroom.

  17. School Day • 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM • Learn Korean, English, and grammar

  18. Sports • Lots of soccer, baseball, and basketball

  19. Getting to and from school • Bus • Bike • Some people use cars
