Dynamic Stiffness Measurement of Wheelchair Cushions Under Various Preload Forces
This study investigates the dynamic stiffness and transmissibility characteristics of seven different commercially available wheelchair cushions under varying preload forces. Utilizing a systematic material testing approach, the research presents measured values aimed at improving wheelchair cushion design and performance. The findings provide critical insights for rehabilitation professionals to assist in selecting appropriate solutions for individuals with mobility impairments. The results are documented in the Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development and may influence future developments in seating systems.
