Launched on January 1, 2005, this project aims to provide reliable ocean productivity data products using chlorophyll and carbon-based algorithms. With three standard products and multiple optional algorithms, we aim to establish consistency across measurements of primary production. Key project milestones include the kickoff letter to OPPWG, presentations at the MODIS Ocean Color Meeting, and an emphasis on a unified standard product. Supporting resources include field data, alternative models, and visualization tools to enhance understanding for decision-makers and educators alike.
