Any Questions Before Moving onto Business Minors?
Business Minors Fall 2012 • Fall 2012 students will be allowed to choose their own business minor • Everyone must have at least one business minor • Policy is retroactive for all catalogs: • 2007-2009 • 2009-2011 • 2011-2012
Minors cont. • The incorporated minors of Business Administration and Economics and Finance will remain attached to the program of study • These will only be ‘detached’ from the program with the completed ‘elective minor’ section on the back of the upper-division form and a signature • Those minors other that the incorporated will likely require more than 120 hours
Minors cont. • The most important rule regarding these optional minors is this one: You may not use the same course in a major and a minor • If the course is being calculated in the major (MAJ) then you MAY NOT use it in the minor • You may crossover CORE courses
If the course is being calculated in the major (MAJ) then you MAY NOT use it in the minor
Minors cont. • Degree requirements stay intact for all majors EXCEPT Business Administration: • FIN 3810 or 4110 changes to Upper Division Business elective • ECON 4570 changes to Upper Division Business elective
