  6. Operational Overview • The G9SP demo can be used one of 5 ways: • 1) Stand alone • 2) In conjunction with NJ5 / G5 Servo demo • 3) Stand alone with external inputs from F3SJ-A / F3SJ-B light curtain or OS32C laser scanner • 4) Combination of 2) and 3) above • 5) Connection to other G5 or MX2 units

  7. Setup • Auto-Teach • When the panel is connected to power the G9SP reads the inputs; any connected device is then utilized by the program • If a device is not connected at power up, including the outputs they are ignored and not used.

  8. Integrated Demo Preperation • NJ5 / G5 Demo • Download the new NJ5 program using Sysmac Studio. The new program has some new tags but no ladder code. It will not effect the existing demo. • Install the new Ethernet/IP program on the NJ5 using Network Configurator for EtherNet/IP. This will not effect the original NJ5 demo – the original demo did not have EtherNet/IP connections. It will cause a low level EtherNet/IP error if the G9SP demo is not conneced. • Download new NS program to the NS8 on the NJ5 demo. This program has a new screen for the NJ5 demo and a button to get to the G9SP screen on the Main Screen. This program will not effect the original demo.

  9. Integrated Demo Tie-In • NJ5 / G5 Demo • Remove the jumper plug from the “CN8 Safe” connector on the G5 servo. • Connect the R88A-CSK003-E safety cable from the G9SP demo to the CN8 input on the G5 servo • Connect an Ethernet cable from the G9SP panel to the Ethernet switch on NJ5 / G5 panel • Connect power to the NJ5 Demo • Connect power to the G9SP Demo

  10. New NS Screen on the NJ5 Demo for G9SP • This is the default screen on the NJ5 demo during power up • Press this button to go to Main Menu • Press this button to get to the Safety Screen

  11. New NS Screen on the NJ5 Demo for G9SP • An X appears on the object if it is not detected on power up. • Label turns green if input is safe, red if not safe. • Label turns green in G9SP is detected. EtherNet/IP working.

  12. Enabling Switch Operation • The A22TK key switch and A4EG enabling switch work in the following way: • 1) Auto (Right) • The A4EG is ignored, If any of the devices are tripped the outputs turn off. • Key can be removed. • 2) Manual (Left) • Enable A4EG enabling grip • The safety mat, safety edge, light curtain and laser scanner inputs are bypassed; the E-stop and all door switches remain active • Outputs follow the activation state of the A4EG enabling grip • Key cannot be removed.
