An amateur radio license is a legal document or permit giving official permission to the license holder to operate an amateur radio station. • The license typically permits the bearer to transmit a signal on designated radio frequencies in order to conduct two-way communications with other licensed stations. • An amateur radio license is only valid in the country in which it is issued, or in another country that has a reciprocal licensing agreement with the issuing country.
