Why is defining roles important Effective teams can be built from people with similar attributes but complimentary personalities are generally beneficial When the roles are not clearly defined poor communication and team breakdown can follow
Football analogy Type B – Mercurial second striker comes up with the killer idea eg. Cantona Type C– Midfielder links the play, keeps the shape creates the position for goals to be scored eg. Dunga Type D – Defender makes sure the team is secure supports the other players makes sure things don’t go wrong eg. Cannavaro Type A - Striker leads from the front, keen to finish things off selfish but effective – eg. Voller Type E - Goalkeeper keeps the team from making a mistake ensures nothing gets through – eg. Shilton
