  43. 2007-2008 Release 1.0 Global Entry • Pacific Islander SSNs will have 13 as the 4th and 5th digits when a new Demo record is entered manually Import • Use Prior Year User-Defined Queries, Setup, and File Formats to import the value for the Global Security Users setup field “Enable 508 Grid Functionality?” from 2006-2007 EDExpress

  44. 2007-2008 Release 1.0 Application Processing ISIR Review/ISIR Print • Will combine 2006-2007 fields in 2007-2008 “In addition to grants, are you interested in student loans (which you must pay back)?” and “In addition to grants, are you interested in ‘work-study’ (which you earn through work)?” will be “Interested in work-study or student loan?”

  47. 2007-2008 Release 1.0 Additional HERA – ISIR Fields ISIR Review/ISIR Print • Will add ISIR fields due to the HERA • New dependency status question “Are you on active duty in U.S. Armed Forces?” • Ten new data elements related to any of the means-tested Federal benefits programs (5 student data elements & 5 parent data elements)

  50. 2007-2008 Release 1.0 Additional HERA – Loan Limits Packaging Process • Packaging/Repackaging process will be modified to award subsidized & unsubsidized loans using higher loan limits • Affects Aid Types S, U & D • Effective for loans first disbursed on or after July 1, 2007 • If the loan has a first disbursement before July 1, 2007, the awards must be manually adjusted to the lower loan limit
