  1. A NEW THEME FOR THEME PARKS Company : ID LINK

  2. Mission statement • In all the ways we scan , save , and serve. Will it ensure honesty? Promote safety and security? Will it be beneficial to all concerned? Will it build a safer and more family friendly theme park?

  3. Method behind the madness • When tickets are purchased handprints will be scanned and saved into the system ,therefore, eliminating the need for paper tickets or wristbands. Which reduces litter and helps in an effort to go green for a worthy cause. • Throughout the park , and in front of every major attraction located inside the park ,there will be scanning stations called turnstiles for visitors to place their hands on to scan and “check in” to get into the attractions.

  4. Why it works? • The Science: • Each and every person is individual in their own way. Therefore, each and every person has a different genetic makeup which in turn means a different handprint. This is one thing for every person that is ensured to be different. Just the same as how suspects are identified through finger prints the visitors to the theme park will be identified by their handprint. This eliminates the sharing of passes between visitors between gates etc. When a pass and a handprint are matched into the system, only the handprints are needed to access the rest of the park . If a handprint is not recognized the visitor will not be allowed to enter where they desire to go inside of the park.

  5. Beating the system?? • Using the hand print system that has been described it would be nearly impossible for any hackers to get into the theme park. No two people have the same handprint and since you can’t switch or borrow hands you would not be able to get in. A hacker could toy with the computer program and somehow replicate someone else's handprint right when they came in. This would require much work and the computer would not be vulnerable to hackers, because it would have certain software on it.

  6. The success behind the theme • This system has flourished in many popular theme parks across the world, including Disney and Universal Studios. Disney placed turnstiles throughout their parks that scanned finger prints for access. However, to improve efficiency our company has decided to modify the turnstiles to scan handprints instead to reduce the risk of a break in the system. This new type of admission has been very successful in the parks that have used it and we feel confident that our modifications will skyrocket the success rate even higher. The handprint security system has reduced double admission by 55%.

  7. Privacy issues • Many people feel that handprint identification is an invasion of privacy however it is necessary to maintain safety inside of theme parks. If visitors decide to “opt out” of hand printing system. They have the option of purchasing a wristband that is locked on your wrist at the entrance gate for $100 a day, this wristband will scan at turnstiles like a handprint and will allow entrance. Of course visitors will turn in their wristbands before exiting the park. If not a bill will be addressed to the purchaser of the wristband for $250 additional to their $100 at the beginning of the day and their wristband will remain locked.
