  4. Arise of Noorderbreedte State (NBS) • Because of the ageing of population • Future: Shift in care, need of more nursing home beds for heavy ZZP

  5. Need of NBS because: • No more nursing homes build • Government: Separation living and care • Need of small-scale elderly care • Space for entrepreneurship in care

  6. For who NBS? For those elderly who could live at home with home care from ‘thuiszorg’ organizations but… • They feel lonely • They feel not safe • They do not look after themselves good enough

  7. Noorderbreedte State • Permanent residence • temporarily residence • daytime activity

  8. Noorderbreedte State-formule • Small care for elderly in their own village/ neighborhood • For helpful elderly (ZZP1 till ZZP4) • Care is paid by government • Rent en service is paid by resident itself
