  3. 치매 • 뇌의 변성이 진행되어 점차로 기억력이 저하되는 등 지적기능이 상실되는 임상적 증후군 • 좀더 넓은 의미에서는 지적기능의 황폐화뿐만 아니라 행동과 인격의 변화를 초래하기도 하며 정서적 기능상실까지 진행되어 사회적 혹은 직접적 기능의 장애를 초래하게 되는 상태를 말함
