  3. History Standards Students will discuss and learn about the chronological time line of Native American Indians to include religion, architecture and tribes.

  4. History Activity 1- Create Time Line of important event in American Indian history American History Timeline: 1780-2005 Activity 2 – discuss the architecture of Totem Poles and make a make one. Totem Pole Craft - Enchanted Learning Software

  7. People in Societies Standards Students will learn about Native American cultural practices to include: food, individual development and identity, artistic expression, community and language.

People in Societies Activity 1- listen and dance to Native American songs, understand that different cultures dance/sing and celebrate as a group Native American Songs and Dances for Kids - Indian Song and Dance Activity 2- Give the child a name.   10. People in Societies Activity 4- Students can print color pictures and make their own story from the pictures. Students can work in groups on a certain tribe focusing on that tribes culture and community. Native American Coloring Pages - Fun interactive Indian coloring book pages for kids

  12. Geography Standards • Students will read maps and identify relative locations using a compass rose and cardinal directions. • Students will identify landforms and climates of regions occupied by Ohio tribes as well as methods of transportation.

  22. Economics Activity 4-Create rain sticks, Indians make rain sticks from dried cactus with seeds inside which, when shaken, make the sound of falling rain. For centuries, rain sticks have been used in ceremonial rituals by various tribes to bring rain to badly needed areas of the desert. The rain stick method was used by these tribes to tell the gods that rain was badly needed.
