The angel said to those who were standing before him, ‘Take off his filthy clothes.’ Then he said to Joshua, ‘See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put rich garments on you’” (Zech 3.3-4) • “I will remove the sin of this land in a single day” (3.9b).

  3. Dream-Vision of Joshua • Symbol #1 (clean clothes) • Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: ‘Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.’ (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) (Rev 19.6-8)

  5. Dream-Vision of Zerubbabel • “‘This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the LORD Almighty’” (Zech 4.6). • “‘This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear’” (Hag 2.5).

  6. Dream-Vision of Zerubbabel • ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty (4.6b). • Holiness: “I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws” (Ezek 36.27)

  7. Dream-Vision of Zerubbabel • ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty (4.6b). • Regeneration: “[Jesus] saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3.5).

  8. Dream-Vision of Zerubbabel • ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty (4.6b). • True life: “I will put my Spirit in you and you will live” (Ezek 37.14a).
