Conferences/Business Meetings • MACURH - $3348.59 • No Frills - $500 • NACURH - $2500 • Team Development(Ice Breakers, RHA Retreats) - $500 • Office Supplies/Printing, Officer Supplies (Paper, Printer Cartridges, Markers, Tape, etc. For both RHA and NRHH) - $500 • Public Relations/Marketing/Advertising (Newspaper ads, Program ads, t-shirts, how RHA gets their name out) - $500 • Program Sponsorship (outside groups asking for sponsorship) • Casino Night - $2500 • Bison Blizard Bash - $2500 • Other - $2000 • Hall Sponsorship (Halls asking for extra funding for programs) - $6000 • Programming Council - $10,000 • Technology (monthly phone bill, additional services for IT support)- $1500 • Move In Crew/Welcome Week (hypnotist, luau, meals & t-shirts for move-in crew • Hypnotist - $2800 • Luau - $1600 • Tshirts - $750 • Meals - $600 • National Residence Hall Honorary - $8600 • DRL Scholarship (leadership scholarship given to a student in April)-$500 • Discretionary Fund - $300 • Philanthropy (money given to organizations looking for charity sponsorship) - $500 • Recognition (plaques, cards, award bids) - $1000 • Late Night Breakfast - $2500

Programming Council National Residence Hall Honorary $10,000 This money is for programs that the RHA Programming Council puts on Examples of programs from last year:-Black Light Underground -Bison R&R -Laser Tag -Battle of the Hall Stars $8,600 Make up the rest of the budget for NRHH to be able to have a $10,000 budget Use the money for programs, philanthropy, and a lot of the same things we use our budget for Susan President of NRHH Vincent Head of Programming Council

Program Sponsorships Conferences $7,000 Outside groups asking for sponsorship Casino Night - $2500 Bison Blizard Bash - $2500 Other - $2000 $6298.59 MACURH - $3348.59 No Frills - $500 NACURH - $2500 Conferences are important to us to be able to bring ideas back to the hall A lot of the people that go to conferences end up being further involved in residence life aka become RA’s, exec members of RHA, etc.

Hall Sponsorship Move In/Welcome Week $6,000 Halls asking for extra funding for their programs Examples from last year: LLC Pancake Feed Thompson Hall Casino Night Cancer Awareness Week $5,750 Hypnotist - $2800 Luau - $1600 Tshirts for Move In/Welcome Week Crew- $750 Meals for Welcome Week crew - $600

  6. Late Night Breakfast Technology $2,500 At the end of both the semesters we have Late Night Breakfast which let’s students take a break from studying and enjoy some breakfast $1,500 Monthly phone bill Additional services for IT support

  7. Recognition Team Development $1,000 Plaques Cards Award bids $500 Ice Breakers RHA Retreats

  12. Reminder!!! • This is just roughly where the money will be allocated for the year • Will look at the budget several times throughout the year to possibly allocate money to other things

  13. What do you do now?? • Bring this back and present it to your hall!! • This powerpoint is available on the RHA Blackboard page – can use it to explain the budget to your hall • Your hall must vote yes or no on the budget and then bring it back for next week’s RHA meeting
