  6. Why is it important to ensure proper handling and protection for all employees who may be potentially exposed?

  7. Employees hate chemicals • It is a best practice in the workplace • All chemicals are considered hazards • This is only required if programs want to comply

  8. All chemicals are considered hazards and must be identified in the workplace.

  9. What is a Hazardous Chemical?

  14. The Hazardous Chemical Inventory List is a form that assists Programs in keeping track of all chemicals used at an HCA work location

  23. Frequency of Use Describe usage by Daily, Monthly, Bi- Monthly, Yearly MSDS on File This should always be a YES! MSDS

  24. On the rare occasion that a new worksite chemical does not provide a MSDS or it is not on the CEO/Risk Management Website, there is a way to obtain the information

  25. How to Obtain a MSDS • Check the Manufactures Website • Call the contact information on the label and request it over the phone • Send a request in writing
