  2. Rules • Each team member will read a sentence and select the correct answer for five points. • Points will be doubled after the first round. • Total points will be added at the end and a winner declared.

  3. Comma Rules • Rule One: • Always place a comma after introductory words, phrases, or clauses.

  4. Comma Rules • Rule Two: • Always place a comma between two independent clauses separated by a conjunction (and, or, but, nor, so, for, yet).

  5. Comma Rules • Rule Three: • Place commas around nonrestrictive elements.

  6. Comma Rules • Rule Four: • Always place commas between items in a series (words, dates, geographical locations, numbers, titles).
