Bracero program created to ensure there wasn’t a laborer shortage 1968 Decline in socioeconomics in Mexico results in large numbers of people crossing the boarder. See an increase in undocumented workers in the US

  6. 1980’s Process began to fortify the US-Mexico boarder. 1994 The border patrol increases drastically and becomes a huge branch of the US government. 2000Mexican government wants to address the immigration issue with the US government.
