Residuo peligroso o “Es aquel residuo que por sus características corrosivas, reactivas, explosivas, tóxicas inflamables, biológicas o infecciosas, puedan causar riesgo a la salud humana o deteriorar la calidad ambiental” RESPEL • La empresa UNE Telefónica de Pereira en su gestión ambiental garantiza la disposición adecuada de los • RESPEL producidos, los cuales se dividen en: • Aceites • Tóner • Baterías • Filtros • Tubos Fluorescentes • Chatarra Electrónica • Cables • CD’s

Como parte de los residuos especiales que genera la Empresa se encuentra el retal de cable el cual es vendido en beneficio económico para la Empresa evidenciando nuevamente la rentabilidad del sistema de gestión ambiental. ¿ SABIAS QUE ? La Empresa en 2012 vendió 49320 kilos de cable, lo que equivale a la suma de 124´886.614.45

  4. La gestión final de los generados internamentees realizada por una Empresa ambientalmente autorizada y especializada, con la cual se garantizan los servicios de recolección, transporte y correcta disposición final de los residuos especiales, hospitalarios y similares. RESPEL De esta manera se evitan los impactos negativos sobre el medio ambiente que estos residuos puedan generar.
