Writing your way to reading

This report outlines a pilot project exploring innovative literacy education methods for second language learners. Utilizing a unique approach that leverages digital software connected to a keyboard, adults are taught to recognize the sound of each letter while writing. A speech synthesizer reads out words and sentences aloud, enhancing their learning experience. The project involved 15 adults and 17 youth, particularly those with backgrounds as political refugees or underage asylum seekers. Early results indicate increased focus on oral teaching, linguistic awareness, and digital competence.
