  2. Moccasins • Iroquois wore shoes called Moccasins • Moccasins were strong and comfortable • These shoes were made out of deerskin • They were sewn together with a deer-bone needle

  3. Fun Fact Did you know that most of the Iroquois things are made out of deer skin, all of their clothes shoes and tents and much more are made out of deer skin

  4. Snow Shoes • These are Iroquois snow shoes • They helped them climb and walk in the snow • These shoes were much like tennis rackets you put on your feet

  5. Fun Fact • Did you know that the Iroquois ate brain cakes? A brain cake is a deer brain mixed with moss. EWWW, the Iroquois don’t waste anything.

  6. Iroquois Clothing • Iroquois clothing was made out deerskin • The women would have to tan cut and sew all the clothing • Once they did all that they looked like this.

  7. Male Hair • Boys that were 15 and up wore one strip of hair on thier head • They plucked out all thier hair and facial hair but did not shave it

  8. Female Hair • Girls wore their hair in two braids until they were married • Once they got married they usually wore their hair in one braid tied up in a ribbon or ornament We are sorry we do not have a picture
