  9. Muscle Contraction Isotonic Isometric

  10. Treppe

  11. Muscle Fatigue • Inability of muscle to maintain force of contraction after prolonged activity • Could be a result of: • Inadequate release of calcium ions from the SR • Insufficient oxygen • Depletion of glycogen and other nutrients

  12. Exam Next Week • 60 – 70 % Identification • Be able to identify muscles on muscle chart as well as origin, insertion and action of those listed on syllabus • Mainly use lab book and muscle list to study for identification

  13. Due today: Lab manual: Ex. 13: Activity 3 (#’s 1 & 2), Activity 4 (#’s 1 & 2). Due online: • PowerPhys experiments: Twitch Contractions and Summation, and Recruitment and contractions. • The activity links are located on the assignment tab on WileyPlus (As you complete each experiment, save the lab report file as a PDF. Then, submit both PDF files to the eCourseware dropbox labeled-PowerPhys lab 7.) • Real Anatomy: muscular is due by Thursday at 11:59 pm.
