Putting It All Together: • Based on what you already knew, the class discussion, and the articles reviewed in class, write a well-developed paragraph (at least 10 sentences) explaining your view of the “truth” and the “right action” to be taken in relation to the levees and devastation during Hurricane Katrina. Why did the levees fail? Who should take responsibility? What should have been done before, during, and after? What are the opposing viewpoints and what do you have to say about them? What should be the next step for New Orleans in terms of structural integrity and also the political and social climate.
