  3. Fashion Committee Ideas • Models (prior approval by teachers) • Program • Raffles/Giveaways and Drawings • Refreshments • Rehearsal • Script Development • Stage and Lighting Setup • Acknowledgements

  4. Sponsor Confirmation • Contact at least two months ahead of time the dress shops. • At least one month ahead of time, communicate with the tuxedo shops. • Reserve the auditorium at your school at least two months prior to the event. • Confirm business donations for the event.

  5. Donations from the Community • Several businesses donated baskets that were raffled off to guests. • These baskets included: candy basket, flower basket, and hair styling basket. • Flower baskets included a corsage and boutonniere for the Prom. • Hair and nail baskets included free coupons for a manicure and hair styling.

  6. Scheduling of the Fashion Show • Schedule the show on a school night rather than a weekend. • Plan on an alternate show night if the weather could be inclement. • Hold at least two rehearsals prior to the show.

  7. Planning Dress and Tuxedo Fittings • Girls should plan to get fitted 2-3 weeks before the fashion show. • Dress fittings should occur during the week when the stores are less busy. • Tuxedo fittings should occur at least one week prior to the show.

  8. Hair Styling and Makeup Preparation • Cosmetology students from Oneida BOCES volunteered services for hair styling. • Students who participate in the show must arrive two hours prior to the show, especially if they require hair styling. • Girls may prefer to apply their own makeup prior to the show.
