  4. Adaptability of the education systems and uncertainty • Keep options open for young people • Flexible education system • Delayed specialisation • Moving among tracks • Possibility to progress to higher levels of education • Diversification of post-secondary education

  5. Adaptability of the education systems and uncertainty • Skill miss- matches : what does it mean? Level of education Specialisation/field of study Skills/competences knowledge • Need for better interface between education and employment • But is a full match feasible? Even desirable?

Adaptability of the education systems and uncertainty • Higher levels of education: increased participation to higher education –issue of adaptability • Does over-qualification – or rather over-education -matter? • Does finding a job an a field for which you were not trained matter? • Changing the content of educational programmes: key competences, transversal skills for adaptability • Proactive education systems
