  1. Hear Me When I Call Tillit S. Teddlie 1962

  2. As a child ………….. • I remember how comforting it was to go to sleep in my room, knowing my parents were close by • I always felt nothing could ever hurt me because they would have to pass by them to get to me • Almost every night I would tell them goodnight and if I needed them I would call them • They always said they would be right there if I needed them

  3. Hear Me When I Call, O GodMy Righteousness • As God’s children we become a part of him • Gen 15:6 And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness . • Rom 3:25-26 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness , because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness , that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

  4. Unto thee I come in weakness and distress • Job 24:22-23 "But God draws the mighty away with His power; He rises up, but no man is sure of life. He gives them security, and they rely on it; • Isa 31:1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, Nor seek the LORD! • Isa 50:10 "Who among you fears the LORD? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness And has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD And rely upon his God.

  5. Hold my trembling hand, lest I should fall • Ps 6:2 Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak • Matt 26:41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak ." • Gal 4:9 But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?

  6. Hear my cry O Lord, attend unto my prayer • Ps 39:12 "Hear my prayer, O LORD And give ear to my cry ; Do not be silent at my tears; • Ps 55:17 Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. • Rom 12:10-12 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer ;

  7. More and more, I need they mercy and thy care • Ex 34:5-7 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, • Ps 59:10 My God of mercy shall come to meet me; • Ps 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me.

  8. Clouds of doubt ariseand faith grows weak and small • Deut 28:65-67 Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life. 67 In the morning you shall say, 'Oh, that it were evening!' And at evening you shall say, 'Oh, that it were morning!' because of the fear which terrifies your heart, and because of the sight which your eyes see • Matt 14:31-32 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt ?"

  9. Hear my voice O Godand cleanse my soul within • Ezek 36:22-23 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. 23 And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD," says the Lord GOD, "when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.

  10. Hear my voice O Godand cleanse my soul within • Ezek 36:24-28 For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. 25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. 28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

  11. Mercy do I need for allmy doubts and sins • Ps 123:3-4 Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy on us! For we are exceedingly filled with contempt. 4 Our soul is exceedingly filledWith the scorn of those who are at ease With the contempt of the proud. • Rom 7:13 Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

  12. Only in thy graceI trust my all in all • Ex 33:16 For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? • Acts 15:10-11 Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they."

  13. Hear my prayer O God,I need thy cleansing power • 1 Chron 29:11-12 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all. 12 Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all.

  14. Let me feel thee neareach moment of each hour • Num 16:8-11 Then Moses said to Korah, "Hear now, you sons of Levi: 9 Is it a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the work of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to serve them; 10 and that He has brought you near to Himself, you and all your brethren, the sons of Levi, with you? And are you seeking the priesthood also? 11 Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the LORD. And what is Aaron that you complain against him?"

  15. Let me feel thee neareach moment of each hour • Num 16:31-35 Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods. 33 So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly. 34 Then all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, "Lest the earth swallow us up also!" 35 And a fire came out from the LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering incense.

  16. Hold my trembling handLest helpless I should fall • Deut 28:63 And it shall be, that just as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land which you go to possess. • 64 "Then the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods,

  17. Hold my trembling handLest helpless I should fall • Deut 28:65-67 And among those nations you shall find no rest, nor shall the sole of your foot have a resting place; but there the LORD will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and anguish of soul. 66 Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life. 67 In the morning you shall say, 'Oh, that it were evening!' And at evening you shall say, 'Oh, that it were morning!' because of the fear which terrifies your heart, and because of the sight which your eyes see.

  18. Oh hear me, Lord hear meO hear me when I call ! • Ps 4:1 Hear me when I call , O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. • Ps 4:3 But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him. • Ps 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God, And the LORD shall save me.
