  5. By the end of 1353, the Plague had spread throughout western Europe and had killed somewhere between 75 million and 200 million Europeans – that’s 30 – 60% OF ALL EUROPEANS! • Worldwide, the population fell from 450 million down to 350 or 375 million!

  6. There were multiple previous and later outbreaks of the Plague, in particular another in London in the 1650s that decimated the population, but the Black Death of the 1300s is the most well known because of the sheer number of people who died.
