  1. Europe is the number one net importer of resources in the world. Hence, Europe’s high living standard is partly based on the resources of other continents while the social and ecological consequences of resource extraction are “outsourced”. SERI is currently working on REdUSE – a project that aims to highlight the global impacts of Europe’s growing resource use, focusing on imported resources from the south and the consequences of resource extraction.
