    1. Lets Be A Diligent Worker For God

    2. Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, Prov 6:6 (NKJV) This Fathers Day reminds us there is still much Kingdom of God work left to do!

    3. 1. Symptoms of slothful: A slothful person is apathetic, never in a hurry to get anything done.

    4. A. Doesnt believe it applies to them. The lazy man is wiser in his own eyes Than seven men who can answer sensibly. Prov 26:16 (NKJV)

    5. B. No one is born this way. A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep-- 11So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man. Prov 6:10-11 (NKJV)

    6. C. A slothful person does not value the imp of seasons. The lazy man will not plow because of winter; He will beg during harvest and have nothing. Prov 20:4 (NKJV)

    7. D. A slothful man will not finish the task. The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting, But diligence is man's precious possession. Prov 12:27 (NKJV)

    8. I went by the field of the lazy man, And by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding; 31And there it was, all overgrown with thorns; Its surface was covered with nettles; Its stone wall was broken down. Prov 24:30-31 (NKJV)

    9. E. A slothful man is a dreamer. The desire of the lazy man kills him, For his hands refuse to labor. 26He covets greedily all day long, But the righteous gives and does not spare. Prov 21:25-26 (NKJV)

    10. As a door turns on its hinges, So does the lazy man on his bed. Prov 26:14 (NKJV) F. A slothful man brings damage to their employer.

    11. He who is slothful in his work Is a brother to him who is a great destroyer. Prov 18:9 (NKJV) As vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, So is the lazy man to those who send him. Prov 10:26 (NKJV)

    12. G. People who are slothful have many fears. The lazy man says, "There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets!" Prov 22:13 (NKJV)

    13. The way of the lazy man is like a hedge of thorns, But the way of the upright is a highway. Prov 15:19 (NKJV)

    14. 2. How do we become diligent? A. Be faithful to teach your children. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. Deut 6:7 (NKJV)

    15. B. Be diligent to remember Gods truths. Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, Deut 4:9 (NKJV)

    16. C. Be diligent to keep all of Gods commandments. You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you. Deut 6:17 (NKJV)

    17. D. Be diligent to guard your affections. Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the Lord your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the Lord your God has forbidden you. 24For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Deut 4:23-24 (NKJV)

    18. E. Be diligent to add to your faith. In view of all this, make every effort to respond to Gods promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, 2 Peter 1:5 (NLT)

    19. F. Be diligent to remove roots of bitterness. looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; Heb 12:15 (NKJV)

    20. G. Be diligent to avoid swindlers and frauds. When you sit down to eat with a ruler, Consider carefully what is before you; 2And put a knife to your throat If you are a man given to appetite. 3Do not desire his delicacies, For they are deceptive food. Prov 23:1-3 (NKJV)

    21. 3. Rewards of Diligence. A. Makes you rich. He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich. Prov 10:4 (NKJV)

    22. B. Be given authority. The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor. Prov 12:24 (NKJV)

    23. C. Enjoy your possessions. The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting, But diligence is man's precious possession. Prov 12:27 (NKJV)

    24. D. Be fulfilled. Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper. Prov 13:4 (NLT)

    25. E. Be creative and resourceful. The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty. Prov 21:5 (NKJV)

    26. F. Receive favor. He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, But trouble will come to him who seeks evil. Prov 11:27 (NKJV)

    27. G. Given Honor. Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men. Prov 22:29 (NKJV)
