  6. Geschichte der USA By 1760, when the the total population of the 13 colonies was about 1,3 million, about 11% of that number were blacks. Slave trade Afroamerikaner, Nachfahren der afrikanischen Sklaven, stellen etwas mehr als 13 % Bevölkerungsanteil. Sie leben vor allem im Süden der USA und in den großen Industriestädten des Nordens, wie z. B. Detroit. Asiatische Einwanderer, z. B. aus China, Japan, Korea, Indien und den Philippinen bilden noch eine relativ kleine Gruppe (ca. 4 %). Die Einwanderungspolitik war Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts gegenüber Asiaten besonders restriktiv.
