  4. Scope, Schedule, andCost • Small teams of 3-4 people • 200 work hours maximum; projects finish in 1-2 months • Projects performed at no cost to clients www.TAPaPM.org

  5. Example Projects • Product Selection • Needs analysis • Vendor identification • RFQ/RFP • Comparison of bidders • Process Improvement • Analysis and documentation of current process • Recommendations for improvements • Example or partial improvements www.TAPaPM.org

Client’s view • Allow 2-3 intermediate project managers along with a supervising TAP-a-PM instructor to work on a project under the guidance of a company employee as a mentor • Identify appropriate projects and the associated mentors for the Live Project Practice Engagement • Not be required to pay any wages or benefits to the participating intermediate project managers or instructor • Not be obliged to offer any jobs to the participants • Not expect the intermediate project managers to produce any revenue or income for the company • Be requested to offer reference letters to the intermediate project managers for their performance during the Live Project Practice Engagement www.TAPaPM.org

Intermediate ProjectManager’s View • Be assigned to an appropriate Engagement project for Live Project Practice Engagement at a participating company. • approximately 50 hours on the project over 1-2 months period spending at least 8 hours per week. • Be guided by one of the TAP-a-PM instructors for on-site coaching in addition to working with a mentor from the participating company • Not be charged a fee for this Engagement and conversely will not be paid for the work. • Be provided with a certificate of completion by TAP-a-PM and Chalk Institute and a reference letter by the participating company if the work is satisfactory • Not be promised and shall not expect a job at the participating company www.TAPaPM.org
