  8. Song explanation Seeing that most children will not know the Adam’s Family theme song, before singing this song with children I would go over the basic rhythm and patterns in the song. The pictures I chose for each day would also be explained so that seeing the pictures and words would help the students who can not yet identify words. Sunday: a sun for the SUN in SUNday Monday: kids sitting in a desk because we start school on Monday Tuesday: a 3 because it’s the 3rd day Wednesday: Jack and Jill running up a HILL because Wednesday is called “hump” day as it is in the middle of the week Thursday: a 5 because it’s the 5th day Friday: a party banner with TGIF because we are all happy when Friday comes Saturday: a picture of a clown that fades to say END because Saturday is the end of the week
