Raster Graphics • Also known as “bitmap” graphics • Scalable only on reduction through “resampling” • Creates relatively large files • Useful for painting techniques • Useful for editing photographs • Appropriate for any design requiring gradation of tone and subtlety of color as found in photographs, pastel drawings, charcoal drawings Raster Graphics
